  27. Okay ! It's Samba-time ! :-)

  29. It maybe isn't a LW topic but surely hast to do alot with getting
  30. frames and files exchanged between Amiga and NT systems .
  31.  
  32. Yesterday I installed Samba on the Amiga to make Amigadrives visible
  33. to a NT Network using TCP/IP and AmiTCP .
  34.  
  35. After some trying I managed to get my work: and ddr: (PAR) directory
  36. visible on the NT network .

  38. But of course nothing ever works 100 % ... :-\

  40. When I start Samba and I connect 2 networkdrives selecting the Amiga
  41. Work: and DDR: everything works great ! The problem is ... I can only
  42. use ONE PC to recognice the Amiga drives ? How is this ? From the
  43. moment I connect one of the several NT systems with my Amiga I just
  44. can't connect the other PC's also to it . It gives an error of not
  45. finding the network path . After resetting the Amiga and starting Samba
  46. again, I can use anny PC to connect to the Amy but after that none of
  47. the others can ... Can somebody please help me with this ?

  49. Also After connecting to the Amiga it is possible to render frames
  50. directly to a Amiga drive exept for the DDR: PAR drive ! This has
  51. something to do with the PAR software I suppose . Annyway , I found a
  52. way to go around it . :-) Using Sentry from AdPro . I just render to a
  53. particular directory and sentry detects when a new file is written in
  54. that directory . It then copys it directly to the DDR: drive . Works
  55. perfectly .

  60. On the other hand , why bother ... wel will be getting soon our PVR
  61. for NT . :-)
